United Roman-Ruthenian Church and Pontifical Imperial State is an
institution that not only embodies these fundamental beliefs but also
strives to preserve the ancient church as an independent entity, free
from the influence of civil governments or monetary pressures. We stand
as a stable bedrock, an anchor of faith in an ever-changing
world. But we can't do it alone! We need your generous support to
ensure the continuity and strength of this important
institution. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our
communities, uphold cherished values, and safeguard the principles that
have guided generations before us. The honours and awards programme of the United Roman-Ruthenian Church and Pontifical Imperial State of Rome-Ruthenia
recognises exceptional Christian men and women around the
world who have dedicated themselves to helping others and
achieving meaningful accomplishments. These awards are a call to
further service and an encouragement to others, not an end in
themselves. If you or someone you know is deserving of recognition, applications are welcome for select awards. Simply email here with the award name (see the list below), your church affiliation (nominees do not
have to be affiliated with the URRC), your resume, and details of your
service. Upon acceptance, candidates will need to verify their identity
and may be required to make a traditional donation (see below) to support the church's mission. Join us in honoring those who make a difference! Want to know more? Keep reading below. Our Honours and Awards Exist to Celebrate Christian ServiceIn
a world where selflessness is often overlooked, it's vital to celebrate
those who make a real impact. Our awards shine a light on the tireless
work of individuals committed to serving their communities.
They highlight extraordinary accomplishments in service. By
acknowledging these individuals, we inspire others to follow their lead
and contribute positively to society. Indeed, this system
is not merely ceremonial; it is a heartfelt acknowledgment of the
selfless service and significant accomplishments of deserving Christian
men and women across the globe.
The United Roman-Ruthenian Church and Pontifical Imperial State of
Rome-Ruthenia take pride in upholding Christian values and community
service. The honours and awards programms not only recognises
outstanding individuals but also supports a legacy of faith and
compassion. In a world
fraught with ongoing challenges, there are countless unsung heroes
working tirelessly to uplift communities, provide care, and spread
goodwill. This awards system offers formal recognition to these
individuals, reinforcing the idea that acts of kindness and service
have intrinsic value.
The criteria
for these awards are rooted in the very principles of Christianity:
love, charity, and service to others. Unlike many awards that
prioritize fame or wealth, the Roman-Ruthenian system seeks to
highlight those who have made a tangible difference in their
communities, often at great personal sacrifice. This focus on
selflessness is crucial, particularly in a society that sometimes
glorifies individual success over collective well-being. In today’s
interconnected world, the influence of such awards can extend far
beyond the individual recipients. Recognizing exemplary service can
catalyse change within communities, inspire new initiatives, and
instill hope in those who might feel their efforts go unnoticed. Each
award ceremony becomes a gathering of like-minded individuals,
fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. Also, the visibility of these recognitions can encourage others to engage in
service. Stories of award recipients can motivate potential volunteers,
donors, and community leaders to step up and contribute. When we
celebrate selflessness, we create a ripple effect, igniting a passion
for service in others.
How to Nominate a Deserving Candidate
The
application process, which involves submitting a resume and detailing
one's service contributions, ensures that the recognition is earned,
not merely given. This thorough vetting process underscores the
integrity of the awards and fosters a sense of pride among recipients.
It is a call to action for all Christians to engage in meaningful
service, knowing that their efforts can lead to recognition and inspire
others to follow suit. If you or someone you know exemplifies the spirit of service, we want to hear about them! Simply email us here with the award name, your church affiliation (nominees do not have to be affiliated with the URRC), resume, and details of service. Your nomination could help someone receive the recognition they deserve. However, it is essential to
remember that recognition is not the end goal; it is simply a stepping
stone. Use this opportunity to reflect on your service journey and how
you can continue to make a difference. The awards system is a
celebration of accomplishments, but it is also a challenge to keep
pushing forward, to keep serving, and to keep striving for a better
world. Upon acceptance, nominees will need to verify their identity and may be asked to make a traditional donation (see below) to support the mission of the church. Your contributions help us continue this important work. The
requirement for donations may raise
eyebrows, but it is essential to understand the context. These donations
are not merely a financial transaction; they are a symbolic gesture
supporting the Church's mission and outreach efforts. The act of giving
back reinforces the notion that the awards are not just about personal
accolades but also about contributing to a larger community. This
intertwining of recognition and responsibility encourages a culture of
giving, reminding us that service often begins with a humble heart
willing to support others. Moreover,
the Church’s approach reflects a broader tradition within Christianity
that values stewardship. By requiring donations, the awards system not
only honors individuals but also emphasizes the importance of communal
support and the continuation of charitable work. In essence, every
award given is tied to a larger mission of serving those in need. Frequently Asked Questions1. Who can be nominated for an award? Any Christian man or woman (adult) who has demonstrated exceptional service and dedication to their community is eligible.
