THE CAUSE FOR THE CANONIZATION OF
THE SERVANT OF GOD EVA DUARTE DE PERÓN

With gratitude to Divine Providence, the Diocese of Rome-Ruthenia, United Roman-Ruthenian Church joyfully announced the formal opening of the cause for the canonization of Eva Duarte de Perón (1919–1952) in 2025. On 14 April 2026, she was declared a Servant of God by the Roman-Ruthenian Pope.

In her brief life, Señora Perón was known to many as a woman of deep compassion for the poor and the marginalized. She worked tirelessly to relieve suffering, promote the dignity of women and workers, and to extend Christian charity to those who lived on the edges of society. Beyond all controversy and political interpretation, the Church now seeks to discern whether her public life and private devotion reveal the marks of heroic virtue and the transforming grace of Christ.

The enquiry of the Curia will examine her writings, testimonies from those who knew her, and any favors or graces reportedly obtained through her intercession. The faithful are invited to pray that the Holy Spirit guide this work and that, if it be God’s will, Eva Perón may one day be numbered among the saints who manifest the merciful love of the Lord for the least of His children.
