Florentine Rota (part of the Pontifical Court and Patriarchal Curia)


The Florentine Rota, the main judicial body of the United Roman-Ruthenian Church, is presided over by auditors, led by a Chief Auditor as its Prefect. These individuals are tasked with reviewing cases, interpreting canon law and moral theology, and rendering canonical decisions.

The primary responsibility of the Florentine Rota is to review cases pertaining to elements of canon law and moral theology, ranging from marriage annulments to theological issues. The auditors are entrusted with the sacred responsibility of upholding the Church's principles, doctrine, and laws.
