T.A.H. Pope Radislav and Princess Hanna

A spiritual journey that began at an early age—Prince-Bishop Radislav (Rutherford) I, immersed in faith and tradition, at one of Christianity’s most sacred sites, the Church of the Annunciation in Nazarath.

In early youth, Prince Radislav encountered the world firsthand. Pictured here in Gaza, this moment within the ancient rhythms of the region helped form a lifelong commitment to interfaith dialogue, humanitarian outreach, and global understanding.

Even in childhood, Prince Radislav found himself—quite literally—at the seat of leadership. Seen here sitting in the Speaker’s chair of the Dutch Parliament, this unscripted moment reflects the early presence of civic and international life that would go on to shape his vocation. Far from ceremony, this image embodies a quiet foreshadowing of future diplomatic and ecclesiastical leadership.

A moment of mentorship in mission and public service: In the chambers of the Georgia State Court of Appeals, the future Prince-Bishop was invited to sit at the bench in the chair of a friend of his who was a judge of that court.

The young Prince Radislav carefully watches world champion magician Michael Ammar performing close-up magic at a private dinner. Moments like these helped cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the arts and creativity.

In his youth, the Prince-Bishop was a regular guest in the residences and private offices of prominent families around the world, including a longtime family friend and industrial magnate whose Ferrari Testarossa he captured in this candid photo. Too young to drive at the time, but already immersed in a world shaped by diplomacy, heritage, and elite society, he observed early on the intersection of tradition, responsibility, and privilege. Indeed, these experiences helped cultivate a lifelong devotion to leadership grounded in culture, service, and faith—values that continue to define the Pontifical and Imperial Household today.

Prince-Bishop Radislav was an amateur equestrian combined trainer. Indicative of his leadership, initiative, and commitment to community-building , he was also a founding member of the Georgia Tech Equestrian Club and Team.

Prince-Bishop Radislav is also a skilled sailor and former yacht racer.
