An exorcist is a clergyman within the United Roman-Ruthenian Church who ranks below an Acolyte and above a Lector. Exorcist is one of the Minor Holy Orders of the clergy. (It can also refer to an office or function of one who performs the rituals of exorcism as authorised by the Church.) Today this specific rank of the clergy is more symbolic than functional in terms of exorcisms.
