International Institute for the Study of Christian Knighthood, Chivalry and Nobility  Welcome to the International Institute for the Study of Christian Knighthood, Chivalry and NobilityThe International Institute for the Study of Christian Knighthood, Chivalry and Nobility, part of the Pontifical Georgian College, is an independent research institute dedicated to the preservation and academic exploration of the Christian chivalric tradition. Comprising up to 12 Senior Research Fellows, 12 Research Fellows, and 12 Honorary Fellows, the Institute stands as a center of excellence for theological, historical, and sociocultural studies of Christian Orders of Knighthood and Ecclesiastical Nobility throughout history.Guided by a President, Director, and Assistant Director, and supported by a Board of Trustees of up to six members, the Institute promotes rigorous scholarship and discourse in areas such as: the evolution of religious and ecclesiastical orders of chivalry; the historical legacy of Christian knighthood within the Holy Empire; and the modern expressions of these ancient ideals in contemporary independent Christian Orders. Our research further honors the enduring influence and chivalric legacies of H.S.H. Archbishop Norman Dutton, H.E. Archbishop Dr. Peter Compton-Caputo, and H.A.H. Pope Radislav I of Rome-Ruthenia, along with the foundational works and private archives of H.R.S.H. the Prince of Friuli and Chíquiza, Founder of the Institute. Through our studies and publications, the Institute seeks to illuminate the noble principle of Noblesse oblige and the enduring relevance of the Military Officer’s Code as a moral and spiritual framework for the modern Christian knight.
